The Story
Little Angels Trust has once again demonstrated its commitment to bringing joy and hope to children in need. Continuing its long-standing tradition, the charity organization visited the Cape Coast Metropolitan Hospital in the Central Region on Wednesday 14th January 2026, where they distributed toys, clothes, and other essentials to children, including newborns.
The Initiative
The initiative, which has been a cherished tradition of the Little Angels Trust since its founding in 2004, was aimed at putting smiles on the faces of both mothers and their little ones. For many mothers present, the gesture was an emotional and heartwarming experience.

Every child at the hospital received a special gift, with the newborns receiving extra attention as one of the highlights of the day. Beyond the gifts, the Little Angels Trust also donated vital medical supplies and equipment to support healthcare delivery at the facility.
Point of View by Founder of Little Angels Trust
Speaking during the visit, the founder and Chair of Trustees of Little Angels Trust is Dame Lavinia Enim emphasized the organization’s commitment to supporting vulnerable children.

“Little Angels Trust is all about children. We believe they are the legacy we leave behind especially the most vulnerable among them, such as those battling cancer, mental health conditions, and other serious illnesses,” Dame Lavinia Enim said.
Desire To Impact
She added that the organization began raising awareness about conditions like autism at a time when little was known about it.
“That is why we are so determined to make an impact and continue spreading awareness. There are children out there who need our help for a healthier next generation,” she stated.

Dame Lavinia Enim further noted the challenges faced by children from deprived communities, particularly when diagnosed with severe illnesses.
“When a child from a middle-class family is diagnosed with an illness, it deeply affects the entire family. But for a child from a poor background, it could be a death sentence especially when their parents can barely afford daily meals,” she lamented.
Little Angels Trust and the Way forward
She reaffirmed that Little Angels Trust would continue to step in to provide help and support to such children, with the backing of partners, families, and well-wishers across the globe.

“As long as there are sick children and children dying unnecessarily, we will keep fighting, keep spreading awareness, and keep calling on people to show love and kindness. Generosity is not hard if you have a heart of gold,” she said passionately.
Appreciation from Cape Coast Metropolitan Hospital Management
The Acting Medical Superintendent of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Hospital, Dr Vincent Kudonu expressed profound gratitude to the Little Angels Trust for their kind gesture, noting that the donated medical supplies would go a long way in improving healthcare delivery at the facility.

He applauded the organization for its continuous support and compassion, adding that such partnerships play a crucial role in enhancing child healthcare in underserved communities.
