Recently, work took me deep into the Northern Region of Ghana to some rural communities like Sakpee, Sanbu and Kpabiaa all in the Mion District in-between Yendi and Tamale.
As a creator who is not quite familiar with this part of the country, finding the right accommodation was quite challenging so I had to rely on the services of a tour personnel.

At first the name sounds nice but honestly, I had my doubts because I was disappointed by some hotels in Tamale the night before.
So, after exploring my first community which is Sakpe, we decide to drive to Yendi to scout the hotel. And as soon as we arrived, what I saw completely changed my thoughts and quickly checked in to avoid a situation where I would later come back and be told the place is filled up.

The physical features, architecture, design and painting wowed me especially to think that even in the capital of Accra, some of the luxurious or top tier hotels do not carry the kind of charm and fitness that Kimberly Luxury Hotel boasts off.

• A luxuriously finished ceiling that whispered class in every glance.

And the washroom? That also deserves its own standing ovation. It is well equipped with a modern shower with a water heater system, which allow guest to enjoy either hot, warm or cold water at their command as well as a pristine WC and spotless fittings.
Even better, the GHc250 rate included a complimentary breakfast every morning.
Another point worth spotlighting is the customer service experience.
Genuinely friendly, warm, and professional — the kind of hospitality that leaves a lasting impression.

With just 23 exclusive rooms, Kimberly Luxury Hotel feels intimate yet grand. My two-night stay left me wishing for more and returning to Accra almost felt like difficult.
All in all, my stay at the hotel left me with lasting memories which I will cherish for a long time especially my encounter with fellow citizens in that part of the country as well as their beautiful cultures.
